Pictures of BrewPi Case 2.0

Hello folks!

Previously we posted about the BrewPi case to house all the electronics. We’ve found time to update the design of the BrewPi case and we made our first prototype, what do you think?

There are still some things we would like to improve or fine-tune, but so far we’re content with the case. One of the major changes is that we want to replace the snappy-hooks with a t-slot connection using a bolt and nut trap as this will be more user-friendly in terms of assembling the case.

We are selling the BrewPi Case as a DIY kit through Elco’s webshop. The kit consists of all the plastic parts and the necessary metal bolts, washers and nuts. We will soon post the final design and the instructions for assembling the kit. The kit is shipped as a flatpack in bubble wrap. We are sending the rest-material around the parts along as an extra protection.

Here’s a picture of the raspberry case, the kit includes this case, you can also use it for other projects if you like. The raspberry case sits nicely on top of the BrewPi case.

Next a picture during the assembly of the BrewPi case:

Ofcourse we etched the logo on the casing, in the final design the screen will be more flush against the casing, remember: prototype. 🙂

Our professional grade high-tech photo studio used for making the pictures of the case: 😛 Note the black looking pieces used to adjust the background, all very hi-tech. That’s how we roll.

That’s it, if you have any questions or comments we would be pleased to answer them. We will write another update in the future!

Where are the specs? Looks cool.

Looks good. Why not an all-in package with everything included in the shop?

Hey Cor, we considered including the solid-state relays inside the enclosure. However we were under the impression that you would like to install the relays as close to the switching elements (the compressor for example) to avoid lot’s of wires going everywhere. If your thinking of installing the relays inside the enclosure; it will fit inside the case snuggly but we don’t think it is very practical.

Thanks for the answer. I mean not everything build in one box, but sell ALL the parts included, as one order. Now we had to buy all the parts apart.

On each product page, there is a link to a combo set. If you add that to your cart, you have every part you need and get a 5% discount.
